Pizza is popularly known as an Italian health food snack, is usually hard bread with toppings, it also contains cheese that gives it a complete pizza taste. When I tasted pizza for the first time, it taste strange but with time I got use to the taste.
Pizzas are perfect choice for your busy weekend, you don’t have to rely restaurants for your perfect weekend with the right snack. Homemade pizza are fun and it taste are out of this world. All you need for an awesome pizza is good quality dough, toppings, cheese and tomatoes with the right tools and fair practice.
For pizza dough
- 165g of all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of yeast
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 85mls of warm water
- Pinch of salt and brown sugar
- 150g of mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons of tomato stew
- 2 mushrooms
- Minced meat
- Green pepper
- Red pepper
- Olive oil
The minced meat is fried before adding to the pizza.
You can add more cheese to your taste.
Be free to use any combination of vegetables, meat or fruits that you desired.
All ingredients can be buy at any supermarket or big stores.
Kitchen towels, oven, brush, bowl, sieve and pizza cutter.
Make sure all equipment you want to use are clean and dry.
You will need warm water for the mixture of the pizza dough.
Directions for Pizza
Sieve your flour in a bowl.
Add yeast and sift together with the flour and mix.
Add salt and sugar to your mixture and mix well.
Add olive oil and mix thoroughly.
Add warm water, mixing with spatula till the water is absorbed, then mix with your hands until your dough is smoothly achieved. Place it in a bowl.
Cover the bowl with warm towel and place it in a warm place for an hour for the dough to rise.
Get the oven tray ready and continue with the dough
- Rub margarine or soft butter to the tray.
- Sprinkle a little flour to cover the soft butter and pour out the excess flour on the tray.
- After an hour, you will see the dough has puff, bring it out from the warm place.
- Knead and transfer to the tray.
- Spread it in circular motion, keep doing this till it spread wide.
- Cover the dough for about 40 minutes again.
Wash and slice the vegetables while waiting for the dough to rise again.
Fry the minced meat using vegetable oil
Cook the sauce adding onion, salt and stock cube
The dough again
After 40 minutes, bring the dough from the warm place.
Rub olive oil to the dough and spread the sauce on the dough.
Sprinkle the cheese.
Reheat oven to 180 degree.
Put the pizza in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
Bring it out and add the remaining toppings .put it back in the oven for like 2-3 minute.
When making pizza, the wetter your dough the lighter and crispier your pizza becomes. It is advisable to allow pizza to cool off for some minutes to prevent burn. But it is best enjoy while is still hot. If the dough is much for am single use, be free to keep in the freezer till you are ready to use it again. For the toppings there are no limits you can pile on pizza.
